BUCKEYE BALLS | |
1 1/2 c. creamy peanut butter 1/2 c. soft butter 1 tbsp. vanilla 1 box 10X sugar (don't use the whole box) 1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips 2 tbsp. shortening Mix first three ingredients in large bowl. Stir in sugar to make firm batter so you can roll it into balls. I have found the whole box of sugar makes batter to dry and difficult to roll. Roll the batter into balls the size of a walnut. Place on wax paper and in the refrigerator. Melt chips and shortening together and place in a cup. With toothpick life each ball and dip only half of it in warm chocolate and place back on wax paper. Make sure you scrape each ball's bottom on edge of cup or you will run out of chocolate. Chill until ready to serve. You can place them in very small cup cake papers for parties. You can pipe a flower or other decorations for parties, etc. It does cover the toothpick hole on top. |
