CHOCOLATE MACAROONS 
2 egg whites
1 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. coconut
1 1/2 c. sqs. cooking chocolate
1 tsp. vanilla

Beat egg whites until foamy. Add sugar, 2 tablespoon at a time, and heat until sugar is blended and mixture stands in peaks. Add salt and vanilla and fold in melted chocolate and coconut.

Drop by teaspoonsfull on greased brown paper and leave a space between each cookie as they spread. Bake 20 minutes in 325 degree oven. Let stand 5 minutes before removing from pan.
