CHOCOLATE MACAROONS 
2 egg whites
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 (7 oz.) Nestle's semi-sweet chocolate bar
1/4 lb. box dry coconut (or 1/2 c. fresh)

Beat egg whites fairly stiff. Slowly sift in sugar (with salt in it). Continue beating until mixture stands in peaks. Add vanilla. Fold in melted chocolate. Add coconut. Mix and drop in small mounds on a greased cookie sheet. Bake in a slow oven. Bake 325 degrees for 10 minutes.
