CHOCOLATE MACAROONS | |
2 egg whites 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. vanilla 1 c. sugar 2 1/2 c. shredded coconut (One 7 to 8 oz. bag) 1 (6 oz.) chocolate bits, melted Beat egg whites and salt to stiff peaks. Beat in sugar gradually. Add vanilla. Fold in coconut and chocolate. Drop by spoonfuls onto greased cookie sheets. Bake at 325 degrees for 18 minutes. Makes about 2 dozen. |
