GRANDMA'S OLD FASHIONED TEA
CAKES
 
1 3/4 c. sugar
1 c. shortening
3 c. flour
1 tsp. vanilla or lemon flavoring
2 eggs
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt

Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time, and add remaining ingredients. Knead dough on floured board. Chill. Roll out and cut. Bake 8 minutes at 325 degrees.
