PEA PODS ORIENTAL | |
1 (6 1/4 oz.) box fast-cooking long grain and wild rice 1 (6 oz.) pkg. frozen Chinese pea pods, broken apart 1/2 c. diagonally sliced celery 1 tbsp. flour 2 tbsp. chopped pimento 2 tbsp. butter 1 3/4 c. water 1/2 c. crushed French fried onion (optional) Place large size (14x20 inch) oven-cooking bag in 8x12x2 inch baking dish. Combine all ingredients, except French fried onions in bag; turn gently to mix. Close bag with nylon tie; make 6 inch slits in top. Microwave cook on high power setting 6 to 8 minutes or until pea pods are done, turning dish once. Add French fried onions; stir to combine ingredients. Makes 6-8 servings. |
