LIME PICKLES 
Cut 3-4 pounds cucumbers across about 1/4 inch. Cover with 1 cup lime and 1 gallon cold water solution. Soak overnight. Rinse 3 times one hour apart in cold water.

PICKLING MIX:

4 pts. vinegar
5 lbs. sugar
1 tsp. salt
4 cinnamon sticks
1 tsp. cloves (whole)
1 tsp. allspice (or pickle spice)
1 tsp. celery seed

Soak cucumbers in this mixture overnight. Simmer 1 hour and pack in jars. Be sure pickling mixture covers cucumbers.
