SCALLOPED POTATOES AND CABBAGE 
4 tbsp. butter
1 1/4 c. milk
4 tbsp. diced onions
1 c. grated cheese
2 c. cabbage, chopped
4 c. sliced raw potatoes

Put 1/2 of the potatoes and cabbage in a baking dish. Sprinkle with 2 tablespoons of the onions and dot with 2 tablespoons of the butter. Sprinkle on 1/2 cup of the cheese. Repeat with remaining potatoes, cabbage, onions, butter and cheese. Pour milk over top layer and bake, uncovered, at 350°F for 1 1/4 hours.
