AMAZING!! I was looking for a caramel recipe that wouldn't require 3 cups of sugar and 30 minutes laboring over the stove and this was it! I added 1 tbs. of peanut butter to it before pouring over popcorn and I am very pleased with the result! My husband and I are devouring this tonight!

My grandma gave me this, or nearly this, recipe many years ago and I just mixed this up and it really took me back. However, same as she recommended with her recipe, I doubled the coating recipe for the 4 qts popcorn (I used three microwave popcorn bags). Some may find doubling this overkill, but it really does the trick if you're in need of an ooey-gooey sweet treat. Excellent!

Very easy, and my kids loved it. Next time I will cut the butter and the sugar down a little, and maybe ad some type of nuts. I also baked it for 15 mins after pouring it on. YUMMMM!!

This is the best caramel popcorn I have ever eaten. I only wish it wasn't so easy, so I wouldn't be so tempted to make it.

Just made this a few mins ago it was easy!! Added the peanut butter like someone had said waiting for it to cool so we can enjoy!! Made a Dutch oven full of popcorn and doubled the Carmel ingredients!

It's been over 20 years since I last had this fantastic treat. With the first warm, gooey bite, childhood memories came flooding back. It's just as good as I remember! So glad I found this wonderful classic.
