STRAWBERRY BREAD 
1 c. butter
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
4 eggs
3 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 c. strawberry jam
1/2 c. sour cream
1 c. chopped walnuts

Cream butter, sugar, vanilla. Add eggs one at a time beating in. Mix dry ingredients together. Mix jam and sour cream. Add alternately with flour mixture and add to first mixture. Add nuts and if you like "pink" bread, add a few drops of red food coloring. Bake in greased loaf pan in 350 degree oven. Make 1 large loaf or 6 small loaves.

You can substitute 1 cup apricot preserves for strawberry preserves and make apricot bread.
