ITALIAN BEEF 
5 lb. sirloin tip or rump roast sliced very thin and tied
1 clove garlic
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. oregano
1 tsp. pepper
1 tsp. sweet basil
1 tsp. red crushed pepper
1 tsp. parsley, dried
2 bay leaves
2 c. water
1 tsp. garlic powder

Mix all seasonings and water in a roaster. Place meat in roaster and bake in preheated 325 degree oven for 3-4 hours. Baste meat occasionally if desired. Cut string the last half hour of baking time and baste well with juices. Serve on French, Italian bread or hard rolls.
