APPLE CRUMB PIE 
4 c. thinly sliced apples (fresh or canned)
1/2 c. sugar
2 tbsp. flour
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt
1 uncooked pie shell (deep dish)

Preheat oven and cookie sheet to 400 degrees. In large bowl, combine apples, sugar, flour, spices and salt. Spoon into pie shell.

CRUMB TOPPING:

1/2 c. packed brown sugar
1/2 c. flour
1/4 c. butter

In a small bowl combine brown sugar and flour. Cut in butter until crumbly. Sprinkle topping over apples. Place on preheated baking sheet and bake 30-35 minutes until topping is golden brown. (Bake at 350-375 degrees.)
