ORANGE GLAZED HAM | |
1 (7 to 8 lb.) fully cooked ham 1 c. orange juice 1 c. ginger ale 1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar 2 tbsp. vegetable oil 1 tbsp. white vinegar 2 tsp. dry mustard 1/2 tsp. ground ginger 1/4 tsp. ground cloves Remove skin from ham, if necessary, trim fat to 1/8 to 1/4 inch thickness. Place ham in large heavy duty ziploc bag. Combine orange juice and remaining ingredients. Pour 2 cups over ham and seal bag. Place in shallow dish and refrigerate 8 hours, turning occasionally. Cover and refrigerate remaining juice mixture. Remove ham from marinade, discarding marinade. Place ham, fat side up, in shallow roasting pan. insert meat thermometer, making sure it isn't touching fat or bone. Bake at 325 degrees for 2 to 2 1/2 hours or until temperature reaches 140 degrees, basting with reserved juice, every 20 minutes. If ham starts to darken, cover loosely with foil. |
