ORANGE GLAZE FOR GINGER COOKIES 
2 c. + 1 tbsp. confectioners' sugar
1 tbsp. very soft butter
1/4 c. orange juice
2 tsp. grated orange rind
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract

While cookies are baking. Prepare the glaze by mixing all the ingredients. Remove baked cookies to a wax paper-lined wire rack. Frost while warm with 1/2 teaspoon of glaze per cookie. These freeze well.

Makes 3 1/2 to 4 dozen cookies.
