MOM'S FAVORITE BUTTERSCOTCH
BROWNIES
 
1/2 c. butter
2 c. light brown sugar, packed
2 eggs
2 c. sifted flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped nuts (optional)

Melt butter; beat in brown sugar. Add egg, then dry ingredients. Spread into large (13x9x2) pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes or until center is done. Cut and remove from pan when cool.
