GINGERBREAD BOYS 
3 1/4 c. sifted flour
3/4 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. ginger
1/4 tsp. ground cloves
2 tsp. nutmeg
3/4 c. Crisco
3/4 c. sugar
3/4 c. molasses
1 egg

Sift together flour, salt, baking powder, soda and spices. In large mixer bowl, cream together Crisco and sugar; add molasses and egg and beat well. Gradually add dry ingredients; stir to form a stiff dough. Chill 1 hour. On lightly floured surface, roll dough 1/4 inch thick. Cut in gingerbread boy shapes. Place 1 inch apart on greased cookie sheet.

Decorate with red cinnamon candies for faces and buttons. Bake at 375 degrees for 5 to 6 minutes. Cool slightly. Remove from cookie sheet and cool on rack.
