TACO BAKE 
2 lbs. ground beef
1 1/2 c. chopped onion
1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
1 (15 oz.) can red kidney beans, drained
1 tbsp. chili powder
1 tbsp. salt
1 tbsp. pepper
12 taco shells
1/2 head lettuce, coarsely chopped
2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
2 med. tomatoes, cut into sm. pieces

Brown ground beef and onions, drain grease. Stir in tomato sauce, kidney beans, chili powder, salt, pepper. Break each taco shell in half. Arrange halves on bottom and up sides of 9 x 13 inch baking dish. Spoon meat mixture evenly over tacos. Sprinkle cheese. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes or until hot. Top with lettuce and tomato after removing from oven. Serve with taco sauce and sour cream. Use hot or mild sauce.
