BASIC BREAD | |
3 c. unbleached flour 1 tbsp. yeast (1 pkg.) 1 tbsp. sugar 1 tsp. salt 1 c. hot tap water (ca. 120 degrees) 2 tbsp. vegetable oil (Additions may include the "powder" left from chopping walnuts, re-hydrated bulgur, oatmeal, etc.) Put first four ingredients in bowl of processor capable of KNEADING yeast dough. Turn on processor. Add water through the processor's chimney. Add oil through chimney. Let processor run until dough "cleans" the bowl. Let dough rise in greased bowl until double. Punch down and shape into loaf. Place into greased loaf pan. (I use Pam for "grease"). Let rise until double. Bake at 350 degrees about 50 minutes until it sounds hollow when tapped. |
