BAR ROOM HOT WING SAUCE! | |
4 cups FRANK'S® Red Hot hot sauce 6 tbsp. (3/4 stick) butter 1/2 cup brown sugar 1 tsp. brown mustard 1 tsp. fresh garlic 1 tsp. minced garlic 1 tsp. horseradish a small amount of black pepper, cayenne and red pepper flakes (start small, you can always add more later!) 1 tsp. honey or maple syrup Combine everything into one pot, stir well. Then bring the mixture to a boil, stirring often. Simmer for 10 minutes. Remove from heat. For best results let the sauce sit in the refrigerator for 12 hours and then re-heat on the stove or microwave. (This lets the flavors really come through!) The best way to make these wings is to deep fry a naked wing (fresh wing cut at joint with tips removed) and then dip them in the heated sauce and serve right away. WARNING: I tried to convert this recipe from one I use to serve 100 dozen wings, and I've made them for so long I just eye it up. Play with the recipe. It made me rich! Thanks. Let me know if you like it. Submitted by: Joe Owens, Jr. |
