VANILLA ICE CREAM (BASIC RECIPE) 
2 c. milk
1 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
4 c. light or table cream
4 tbsp. vanilla

Scald milk. Add the sugar and salt to the milk and stir until both are well dissolved. Add the cream. Stir in the vanilla. Cool. Churn in freezer. Makes approximately 2 quarts.
