SKILLET BURGER BALLS | |
1 1/2 lb. ground beef 1 egg, slightly beaten 1/4 c. oil 1/2 c. chopped green pepper 1 clove garlic, minced 2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce 1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce 1 tsp. celery seed Dash of pepper 2 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 c. bread crumbs 1 c. chopped onion Mix ground beef, 1 1/2 teaspoon salt, egg and bread crumbs in bowl. Shape into 1 1/2 inch balls. Brown in oil in skillet; remove with slotted spoon. Saute onion and green pepper in pan drippings for several minutes. Add 1 teaspoon salt and remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil, stirring frequently. Add meatballs. Simmer covered, for 30 minutes. 6 servings. |
