OATMEAL CAKE 
1 1/4 c. boiling water
1 c. rolled oats
1 stick butter
1 c. granulated sugar
1 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
1 1/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon

Pour boiling water over oats. Add butter, let stand 20 minutes. Combine rest of ingredients. Add oat mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes in 9"x13" pan.

TOPPING:

6 tbsp. butter
1 c. nuts
1 c. coconut
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 c. evaporated milk
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Mix and spread on hot cake. Place under broiler until brown.
