1 c. butter
1 c. white sugar
4 c. flour
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. brown sugar
3 eggs
1 tsp. baking soda

Mix and roll out on floured board. Spread filling on and roll up. Slice and bake at 350 degrees until brown.

FILLING:

1 pkg. dates
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. water

Cook until thick and cool.
