PEAR SALAD 
Iceberg lettuce
1 lg. can pear halves
Mayonnaise
Grated cheddar cheese

Rinse iceberg lettuce in cold water, drain and dry thoroughly. Put in plastic bag and chill at least 1 hour. Chill pears. When ready to serve, arrange lettuce on chilled salad plates. Place 2 pear halves, round side down, on each plate. Fill cavity with mayonnaise. Sprinkle top of pears with grated cheese.
