MARINATED COLE SLAW | |
3/4 c. vegetable oil 1 c. sugar 1 c. cider vinegar 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. dry mustard 1/2 tsp. celery seed 3/4 tsp. turmeric (optional) 1 lg. head cabbage, chopped 1 lg. onion, chopped 1 lg. bell pepper, chopped In a saucepan, mix first 7 ingredients. Bring to a boil and pour over remaining ingredients. Marinate in refrigerator at least 1 day. Will keep a week. Serves 8. |
