PECAN PIE 
4 eggs, slightly beaten
1 c. syrup
2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
3 tbsp. butter, melted
1/2 recipe Basic Pastry
1 tbsp. flour
1 c. pecans, coarsely chopped

Beat together eggs, syrup, vanilla, sugar, salt and flour. Then add melted butter. Pour into shell, add pecans. Place in hot 450 degree oven and bake 10 minutes. Lower heat to 350 degrees and continue baking for 50 minutes. Remove from oven while filling still quivers a little. Do not bake until completely firm.
