CHOCOLATE SURPRISE CAKE OR WHITE | |
1 1/2 c. sugar 1 c. butter 3 eggs 2 1/4 c. flour 1 tbsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt 1 c. milk 1 tsp. vanilla (1/2 c. chocolate syrup) Oven 350 degrees. Two 9 inch layers. Grease and flour bottom of two 9 inch layer pans. Gradually add sugar to butter in bowl. Cream until light and fluffy. Add eggs and beat well. Blend in flour, baking powder, salt and vanilla; blend well. Pour one third of batter into each pan. Blend chocolate syrup into remaining one third of batter. Pour chocolate batter over vanilla batter (do not stir). Bake at 350 degrees 40 to 50 minutes until cake springs back when lightly touched in center. Use this recipe for an all white cake. |
