STRAWBERRY CAKE 
2 1/2 c. sifted flour
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. (2 sticks) butter, softened
2 c. sugar
1 box strawberry gelatin (reg. size)
4 eggs
1 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. pureed strawberries

Preheat oven 350 degrees. Grease and flour 3 (9 inch) cake pans.

Mix butter, sugar and gelatin in bowl; cream until blended and fluffy. Beat in eggs one at a time.

At low speed beat in flour mixture alternately with milk. Add vanilla and strawberries. Beat 1 minute at medium speed. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes. Smooth glaze over top of cake. Garnish with whole strawberries.

CREAM CHEESE ICING:

8 oz. cream cheese
1 lb. (3 1/2 c.) packed confectioners' sugar
2 tsp. vanilla

Beat until creamy.
