HOT BUTTERED RUM 
2 c. dark brown sugar
1/2 c. butter
Pinch of salt
3 sticks cinnamon
6 whole cloves
1 whole nutmeg or 1/2 tsp. powdered
2 qts. hot water
2-3 c. rum

Mix all ingredients ahead and allow to steep. Cook in covered crock pot on high for 2 hours. Then cook on low for 3-10 hours.
