STRAWBERRIES IN WHITE WINE 
1 qt. fresh strawberries
1 c. dry white wine
3/4 c. sugar
1 pt. vanilla ice cream

Wash, drain and hull berries. Toss lightly with sugar. Add wine and refrigerate for 2 hours. Drain berries, pouring wine into small saucepan. Return berries to refrigerator. Over medium heat, bring wine just to boiling. Chill quickly, placing pan in a bowl with ice cubes; then pour over berries. Refrigerate 1 hour more. To serve, top strawberries with vanilla ice cream. Serve in stemmed glasses. Serves 6.
