CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES 
1/2 c. butter, softened
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. brown sugar, packed
1/2 c. white sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. oatmeal
1 3/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
12 oz. chocolate chips
3/4 c. pecans

Cream butter and shortening; add sugars until light and fluffy on medium speed with mixer. Add eggs and vanilla. Combine oats, flour, salt and baking soda. Add to sugar mixture, mixing well slowly. Stir in chocolate chips and pecans. Cook at 350 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes on ungreased pan.
