BLACK BOTTOM CUPCAKES 
COMBINE IN MIXING BOWL:

1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1 unbeaten egg
1/3 c. sugar
1/8 tsp. salt

Beat until well blended. Stir in 1 cup (6 oz.) Nestle's semi-sweet chocolate.

SIFT TOGETHER INTO SEPARATE MIXING BOWL:

1 1/2 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1/4 c. cocoa
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt

ADD AND BEAT WELL:

1 c. water
1/3 c. cooking oil
1 tbsp. vinegar
1 tsp. vanilla

Fill muffin cups 1/3 full with second chocolate batter. Top each one with heaping teaspoonful of cream cheese mixture. Sprinkle with sugar and chopped blanched almonds, if desired. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes. Makes 2 dozen.
