HOT PEPPER JELLY | |
1/4 c. chopped red or green hot peppers 1 1/2 c. chopped or coarsely ground sweet peppers (blender works nicely for this) 6 1/2 c. sugar 1 1/2 c. vinegar 1 bottle liquid pectin Mix sugar, peppers, and vinegar. Bring to a brisk boil. Boil for 3 minutes. Add pectin and boil 1 minute. Pour through a fine sieve or cheesecloth. Skim off foam and add a few crops of green food coloring. Pour jelly into hot sterilized jars and cover. Use with cream cheese and crackers (Ritz). |
