OATCAKES 
1 c. shortening
1 c. butter
1 c. sugar
3 c. flour
3 c. rolled quick oats
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 c. cold water

Cream shortening, butter and sugar. Combine flour, rolled oats, baking soda and salt and add to creamed mixture. Add cold water. Roll out thin and cut into squares. Bake in a preheated 400 degree oven for about 15 minutes.
