SWEET AND SOUR POT ROAST 
4 lbs. beef pot roast
2 tbsp. shortening
1/4 c. instant minced onion
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1 c. vinegar
3/4 c. brown sugar

Brown beef in shortening in heavy skillet. Add remaining ingredients. Cover and simmer 3 to 3 1/2 hours on top of range or in 325 degree oven. Serve with baked potatoes and tossed salad.
