K.'S APPLE CRISP 
4 c. tart apples, sliced
1/2 c. flour
3/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/3 c. butter, softened
2/3 to 3/4 c. brown sugar, packed
1/2 c. uncooked rolled oats
3/4 tsp. nutmeg

Spread apple slices in 8 x 8 inch pan. Mix remaining ingredients thoroughly; sprinkle over apples. Bake until apples are tender and topping is golden brown. Serve warm with light cream, whipped cream, ice cream or hard sauce. May substitute apricots, peaches or cherries with 2/3 cup sugar. Bake in 375 degree oven for 30 minutes.
