OLD FASHIONED "TEA CAKES" 
1 c. butter
2 eggs
4 c. plain flour
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/8 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
3 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla

Melt butter, beat eggs, add to butter. Sift all dry ingredients together. (Sift flour before measuring). Add dry ingredients a little at a time. If mixture is too crumbly add 2 teaspoon milk. Refrigerate 30 minutes or an hour. Roll out thin. Cut and bake in moderate oven 350 degrees. Makes about 4 dozen cookies.
