SLOW COOKED BEANS | |
1/2 lb. bacon, diced 1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar 1/4 c. cornstarch 1 tsp. dry mustard 1/2 c. molasses 1 tbsp. vinegar 4 (16 oz.) cans pork & beans 1 med. onion, chopped 1 green pepper, chopped Barbecue sauce as desired In medium skillet, fry bacon until crisp. Drain, reserving 2 tablespoons dripping. In slow cooker, combine bacon, drippings and remaining ingredients, stirring until well mixed. Cover, cook on low setting for 6 to 8 hours. |
