CHOCOLATE FUDGE 
2 c. sugar
1 env. Knox unflavored gelatin
1 c. milk
1/2 c. white corn syrup
1 c. butter
2 1/2 squares baking chocolate
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. walnuts

In a heavy saucepan mix sugar and gelatin together. Add milk and corn syrup. Stir constantly over medium heat. Add butter and chocolate and continue cooking, stirring much of the time to keep sugar crystals from forming on sides of saucepan. Cook to softball stage when tested in very cold water or use thermometer registering soft ball stage. Remove from heat and cool to lukewarm before beating. Add vanilla. Add walnuts shortly before pouring into the candy pan.
