DELICIOUS VEGETABLE DISH 
2 cans drained asparagus
1 pkg. frozen green peas, thawed & drained
1 can sliced water chestnuts
1 can cream of mushroom soup
Cheddar cheese, shredded
3 slices white bread, cut in 1" squares
3/4 stick melted butter

Layer vegetables in order given in large baking dish. Mix green peas into cream of mushroom soup. Cover with a heavy layer of shredded Cheddar cheese. Top with bread squares dipped in melted butter. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Take out of oven a few minutes before serving. Serves 6-8.
