1 c. Crisco
1 3/4 c. sugar
5 eggs
2 c. flour
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
5 tsp. orange juice
2 tsp. vanilla

Blend Crisco and sugar. Then add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Sift together flour, baking powder and salt 3 times. Add to above gradually. Add juice and vanilla. Bake in 350 degree oven for 1 hour. Do not open oven door from start to finish.
