SHOESTRING POTATO CANDY 
1 (12 oz.) bag butterscotch chips
6 oz. pecans or peanuts
2 (1 3/4 oz.) cans shoestring potatoes

Melt the butterscotch chips in a saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and stir in the nuts and potatoes. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto waxed paper. Let it stand about 30 minutes; until candy hardens. Makes about 3 dozen pieces.

Fudge is tricky and time consuming. Just what you don't need with a roomful of ravening beasts. This is cheater's fudge but it's good.
