GRANNY'S CAKE 
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. sugar
3 (heaping) tbsp. cocoa
1 stick butter
1/2 c. oil
1 c. water
1 tsp. vanilla

In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, salt, sugar and cocoa; set aside. Then in a medium saucepan, combine butter, oil, water and vanilla and bring to a boil. As soon as mixture comes to a boil, pour over flour mixture and stir well. Then in a small mixing bowl, combine 2 eggs, beaten, 1/2 teaspoon baking soda and 1/2 cup buttermilk, blend well and add to other ingredients. Bake in large cookie sheet that has been greased and floured. Bake for 20 minutes at 350 degrees.

ICING:

1 stick butter
1/2 tsp. vanilla
3 tbsp. cocoa
6 tbsp. milk or buttermilk

In medium saucepan, cook butter, cocoa and milk until butter melts and mixture begins to boil. Add 1 box powdered sugar, vanilla and 1 cup nuts and mix well. Spread over cake 10 minutes after taking from oven.
