MEAT LOAF WITH ZESTY TOPPING 
2 lbs. ground beef
3/4 c. milk
1 1/2 c. soft bread crumbs
2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
2 tbsp. prepared mustard
1 med. carrot, grated
1 sm. onion, diced
2 eggs, beaten
1/4 c. ketchup
3 tbsp. brown sugar

Pour milk over bread crumbs. Add ground beef, salt, pepper, carrot, onion, and eggs. Mix thoroughly. Pack in a 9x5 inch loaf pan. Mix ketchup, brown sugar, and mustard. Spread ketchup mixture on meat loaf. Bake in a slow 325 degree oven for 1 1/2 hours. 8 servings.
