1 pkg. Kraft caramels 2 tbsp. condensed milk 1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips 1 (1") cube paraffin Pecan halves Melt caramels in top of double boiler. Mix with condensed milk. Arrange pecan halves in the shape of a turtle on a buttered cookie sheet. Spoon melted caramels over the top of nuts and allow to firm up. Then melt chocolate chips and paraffin in double boiler. Dip cooled turtles into chocolate mixture to coat. If you have a problem placing pecan halves in the shape of turtle, don't panic. Chop pecans and add to caramel shape in balls and make tail, head and legs. Top with pecans to resemble turtle shell back. |
