PORK AND SAUERKRAUT | |
1 lg. onion, chopped 2 tbsp. oil, approximately 1 tbsp. paprika 3 to 3 1/2 lbs. pork steak 1 pkg. (approximately 1 1/4 lbs.) Kielbasa 1 c. water 1 tsp. salt 1 (No. 2 1/2) can sauerkraut 1 lb. sour cream 1 tbsp. flour Saute onion in oil until transparent. Then add paprika and pork steak which has been boned and cubed. Cook and brown for 5 minutes. Add cup of water and salt and cook until meat is almost done. About one hour. Keep the amount of water constant then add can of sauerkraut, juice and all and Kielbasa sliced. Cook for 1/2 hour. Stir one heaping tablespoon flour into the pound of sour c ream and blend this into the meat, sauerkraut mixture. |
