MEXICAN BEAN DIP OLE | |
1 (16 oz.) can refried beans 1 (7 to 8 oz.) jar taco sauce 1 lb. hamburger 1 c. grated cheese (I use 1/2 c. cheddar, 1/2 c. jalapeno cheese) 1 c. sour cream Dash of salt Texas Pete Mix beans with 2 tablespoons taco sauce. Spread in baking dish. Cook beef, salt, 1/4 cup taco sauce and 3 or 4 dashes of Texas Pete. Drain, sprinkle over bean. Pour remaining taco sauce over beef. Sprinkle with cheese - (this all can be done in advance). Bake at 350 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes. Cool 10 minutes, blot oil from cheese. Spread sour cream over top. At this time use your imagination, sometimes I put black olives, jalapeno slices, lettuce, tomatoes. Serve warm with taco chips. |
