JEWISH APPLE PIE 
3 c. flour
2 1/2 c. sugar
1 c. oil
4 eggs
1/2 tsp. salt
2 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. orange juice (diluted)
3 tsp. baking powder
Either 5 peeled apples or can of apple pie filling

Mix all ingredients; put 1/2 batter in 10-inch tube pan and spread apples, then put rest of batter on top. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour until done.

If using peeled apples, sprinkle with 2 teaspoons cinnamon and 5 tablespoons sugar before putting on batter.
