PEANUT BUTTER COOKIES 
1/2 c. Crisco
1/2 c. crunchy peanut butter
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 egg
1 1/4 c. sifted flour
1/4 tsp. salt
3/4 tsp. baking soda

Cream shortening and peanut butter until fluffy, add sugar and stir until creamy. Add egg and dry ingredients last. Roll into small balls (about 1 to 1 1/4 inches in diameter) and place on greased cookie sheet. Press with cookie press or fork for design.

Bake at 350 degrees for approximately 10 minutes. Do not overbake. Yields 4 dozen.
