TACO SALAD 
1/2 heat lettuce (shredded)
1/2 lg. onion (sliced thin)
1/2 lb. ham (julliened)
1/2 lb. grated cheese (Monterey Jack or cheddar)
1 c. crushed tortilla chips
2 lg. tomatoes (chopped)
16 oz. can kidney beans (drained
garlic powder to taste

Dressing:
5 tbsp. French dressing
1 tsp. Tabasco sauce

Mix all salad ingredients except the crushed tortilla chips in a very large bowl. Just before serving, toss with the dressing. Add 1/4 cup of the crushed tortilla chips and toss again. Top with remaining chips. Serves 6 to 8.

Note: Adjust amount of Tabasco to taste. This is a bit spicy.
